Kyle D. Monroe is Managing Partner and founder of Peregrine Capital Partners, LLC, an investiment banking firm that targets middle market transactions. Mr. Monroe's professional career began in 1990 and has included investment banking, business valuation, and banking. While founding Peregrine Capital Partners in April of 2003, the majority of his career has been focused on high value-added financial advisory and consulting services for both public and privately owned middle-market companies. In addition to guiding his clients through the many aspects of sell-side and buy-side transactions, Mr. Monroe has raised senior bank debt, mezzanine and equity financing to facilitate transactions.
As an investment banker, Mr. Monroe has leveraged his in-depth understanding of business value to guide his clients through the process of creating value through acquisitions or unlocking value through a strategic sale or financial recapitalization. He has completed over 30 transactions and advised on many more. His clients have covered a wide range of companies including start-ups, complex multinationals, family-owned and publicly owned companies. Such clients have operated in a wide range of industries including apparel, banking, biotechnology, computers and semiconductors, financial services, food and beverages, manufacturing, various consumer and industrial products, distribution, entertainment, healthcare, publishing, transportation, and telecommunications. Additionally, Mr. Monroe has worked closely with private equity funds on both sides of the transaction table.
Mr. Monroe has built his career working primarily with private middle market companies and has extensive experience working with entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses. He is well versed in dealing with the structural and emotional aspects that often arise in transactions with such businesses.
Mr. Monroe earned his MBA from the S.C.Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in 1994. He also holds his BS from the School of Management at the State University of New York at Buffalo, with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems, which he earned in 1990.
